Steve’s practice includes health law, real estate and development, and commercial transactions. His work on behalf of healthcare clients includes structuring and negotiating a joint hospital operating company/affiliation, developing co management agreements, developing new hospitals and ancillary facilities, developing a corporate compliance plan for a major hospital system, extensive development and restructuring of medical staff bylaws and policies, representing hospitals in disciplinary proceedings, and representing hospitals in multiple physician/hospital joint ventures and joint ventures among hospitals. He has negotiated the acquisition and affiliation of non profit hospitals and has developed medical office buildings, including condominium MOBs.
A partner since 1976, Steve served as the Healthcare Practice Group Chair for a number of years and thereafter as chair of the firm’s Regulatory & Government Affairs Department from 2008 to 2010.
