Husch Blackwell Sanders Associate Sarah J. Davis has been included in St. Louis Business Journal's 30 Under 30 Class of 2010. The award honors 30 area leaders under the age of 30 recognized for their accomplishments as business and community leaders.
Davis joined the firm in 2006 after earning her J.D. from Boston College and focuses her practice in Real Estate law. She has represented clients on numerous redevelopment projects that have had a transformative impact on the St. Louis region - many of which incorporated a combination of federal historic, state historic, and New Markets Tax Credits. Davis also represented The Koman Group with respect to the Centene project in Clayton, one of the only new office tower projects in the region. In addition, Davis is a co-chair for the firm’s summer program and manages the firm’s law students throughout the summer. She also is on the firm’s hiring committee and previously served on the firm’s recruiting committee.
With a passion for community revitalization and reinvestment and sustainable development, Davis has invested significant time and energy in local efforts to build healthier communities and encourage stabilization and revitalization of urban neighborhoods. She is an active Board member of Gateway Greening, Inc., a non-profit corporation which promotes urban neighborhood vitality and stability, community revitalization, healthy living and quality of life through community gardens and food projects, education and wellness programs, and civic greening. Davis also chairs the organization's fundraising events committee, and is currently planning the Chefs in a Garden event to take place this fall. Davis was also selected as a member of the Leadership Clayton program in 2009, is a member of the Urban Land Institute and has been active in their Young Leaders Group for several years.
