Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Ronald E. Gilbertson has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C., office as a Partner in the area of Government Contracts law.
Gilbertson has handled Government Contracts cases for over 25 years. He also devotes a substantial portion of his practice to black lung litigation. He has appeared before various U.S. Courts of Appeal in cases regarding federal administrative law and contract issues. In addition, he has been involved in mediation and alternative dispute resolution of government contract claims before Boards of Contract Appeals and the Court of Federal Claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Gilbertson was a Partner in the Washington, D.C., office of K&L Gates (2009-2011), and has nearly 30 years of experience in private practice. Gilbertson began his legal career as an Assistant Senior Division Attorney for the Benefits Review Board of the United States Department of Labor.
Gilbertson earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Maryland School of Law (1979). He also received his B.A. from the University of Maryland (1976).
