Robert's practice is global in nature and focuses on domestic and international corporate and partnership matters, public and private equity financings, acquisitions, and joint ventures. In addition to his commercial transactions practice, he acts as outside general counsel to a variety of companies and regularly counsels clients ranging in size from start-up and emerging growth to the largest firms.
Robert has established concessions, joint ventures, and corporate and partnership structures for activities throughout the world and has operated in more than 40 countries.
With extensive global energy experience, Robert negotiates transactions and advises companies on the conduct of their exploration activities in Central and South America, Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Robert is an experienced deal lawyer who has managed merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures and complex commercial relationships. With a unique breadth of experience spanning strategic, financial and operational levels, he has counseled clients through transactions valued in excess of $5 billion in various industry sectors.
