Winn has 15 years of experience representing hospital systems and physician practices and 22 years of experience as a tax lawyer. He serves as outside counsel to Midwest and Rocky Mountain hospitals and health systems on a daily basis regarding healthcare contracting, compliance, transactional and hospital/physician joint venture matters. Winn also has extensive experience with assisted residential living facility developments, financing, divestitures and joint ventures.
Winn has specialized expertise in tax, nonprofit governance and antitrust matters, as well as Stark and anti-kickback expertise in counseling healthcare providers on sophisticated financial and business strategies.
He is a licensed CPA and served for seven years as an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law’s LL.M. Tax Program.
Winn moved to Denver after 20 years in the firm’s Kansas City office to start the Denver office and serve as its first Managing Partner.
