As managing partner of Husch Blackwell’s Washington, D.C., office, Steve is well versed in public policy and understands the complexities of both the federal government and state and local issues. He has also focused his practice on International Trade Promotion, foreign regulatory issues and foreign asset recovery efforts. He has client activity throughout the Caribbean (Puerto Rico) and the Americas. More important, he applies this unique knowledge for the advantage of U.S. and foreign congress and governments:
Steve’s government and public policy credentials comprise work for The White House Office of Management and Budget, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. House of Representatives. He also served as chief of staff to the Mayor of Omaha and ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District in 1998. Steve is chair of the firm’s federal political action committee (HB PAC).
