Magda has extensive experience in complex product liability litigation defending manufactures of talc products, benzene-containing products, medical devices, and mechanical devices in state and federal courts. As national coordinating counsel in widespread toxic tort litigation, Magda works with a network of internal and external counsel to achieve clients' business objectives through the optimal litigation strategy. She handles product liability, personal injury, and premises liability cases including multi-district litigation, class actions, and individual product, premises, and employer defense, including complex multi-party indemnification disputes. Magda also publishes and counsels clients on compliance with the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA) and a wide range of issues related to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Magda draws on her diverse litigation experience to guide clients to a successful and efficient resolution. Coming from a family of business owners, ranging from a medical practice to an international oil shipping company, she knows what it takes to build a successful business and she works tirelessly to defend clients’ products, reputation, and future. Magda engages in-house teams, engineers, physicians, and experts to deploy multi-layered defenses with an acute appreciation of the impact of litigation on her clients’ daily and long-term operations. Experience
  • Manages talc litigation as part of the national coordinating counsel team for a product manufacturer.
  • Manages Pennsylvania-based herbicide litigation for a national manufacturer.
  • Defends suppliers of benzene-containing products in litigation pending in Pennsylvania.
  • Successfully defends manufacturers of engines and motors in fire, explosion and personal injury litigation.
  • Represented Pennsylvania healthcare and health insurance system in provider dispute.
  • Defended a medical device manufacturer in class-action litigation before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and multi-district litigation pending in the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
  • Obtained dismissal of all claims against a benzene supplier for lack of personal jurisdiction in Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas.
  • Obtained dismissal of all claims against a medical device manufacturer for lack of personal jurisdiction in numerous cases in federal and state court.
  • Obtained dismissal of petition to intervene on behalf of university regarding environmental contamination dispute.
  • Represented defendant in multimillion-dollar breach of contract litigation involving breach of fiduciary duty.
  • Represented small business owners in disputes involving enforcement of operating agreements, misappropriation of intellectual property, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract.
  • Assisted business owners in drafting of operating and shareholder agreements, employment agreements, non-competition agreements and leases.

Outside the Office

Magda and her husband – an emergency room physician and a healthcare hero – stay busy with their four children. The family enjoys traveling, especially to their respective home countries, Poland and Greece.

Community Leadership

Magda grew up in Poland and came to the United States to pursue her education as a high school exchange student. When she became a U.S. citizen in 2015, Magda was a guest speaker at a naturalization ceremony at the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania. Organized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the event hosted federal judges, U.S. veterans, newly sworn-in U.S. citizens and their families.

Magda is also a co-chair of the Membership Committee of the Federal Bar Association Middle District of Pennsylvania Chapter, a president of the Parent Teacher Organization at her local school district, and a Board Member of the East Pennsboro Education Foundation.
