Lindsay, a member of the firm’s Healthcare, Life Sciences & Education team, concentrates her practice on consulting and advising colleges and universities as outside general counsel. She represents higher education clients in federal and state court and in arbitration on matters such as employee disciplinary grievances and labor contract disputes. Lindsay also advises clients on compliance and governance issues involving institutional policies and procedures, student grievances, academic freedom and athletics.
Before joining Husch Blackwell, Lindsay served as in-house counsel for Kansas State University for seven years. There she managed outside counsel and provided day-to-day guidance on legal issues such as employment, constitutional law, discrimination, tort liability, intellectual property, contracts, immigration, real estate, student services, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Title IX.
Earlier in her career, Lindsay was an associate with the law firm Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. Before joining that firm, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable William D. Stiehl of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Illinois.
