A member of Husch Blackwell’s Healthcare, Life Sciences & Education group, Katie Jo focuses her practice on serving education institutions. Katie Jo provides outside general counsel, legal compliance auditing, investigation, and litigation services to a variety of public and private colleges and universities.
Prior to joining Husch Blackwell, Katie Jo was one of ten law students selected as a recipient of the 2015 Burton Distinguished Legal Writing Award, one of the most prestigious national awards for student legal writing. She received the award for her article titled Resisting Rulemaking: Challenging the Montana Settlement’s Title IX Sexual Harassment Blueprint, which was published in the Notre Dame Law Review.
While at Notre Dame Law School, Katie Jo served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Jon E. DeGuilio and spent a semester working in the Notre Dame Office of Athletics Compliance. During her time at Baylor University, Katie Jo worked as the Undergraduate Assistant to the President, Judge Ken Starr.
