A member of the Financial Services & Capital Markets industry team, Ed manages historic rehabilitation, low-income and New Markets Tax Credit matters for investors, lenders and developers. He provides advice about the structuring of transactions involving such credits, supervises the drafting of appropriate documents and analyzes pertinent issues throughout the transactions. He also works on the purchase and sale of various state tax credits. He manages loan transactions involving incentivized finance transactions, including tax increment financing (TIF), community improvement districts (CID) and various types of state tax credits.
Ed has extensive commercial lending experience, handling virtually every type of financing transaction, including asset-based lending and the financing of mineral and admiralty rights. He routinely works with national, regional and local banks and other financial institutions. He also works with inter-creditor situations and has handled major workouts for a number of national lenders.
Ed’s practice includes handling commercial real estate matters for borrowers, developers and lenders. He spends a good deal of time with all types of real estate finance transactions, including construction and permanent loans and loans secured by leasehold interests.
Ed is on the firm’s Partner and Executive Boards. Before joining Husch Blackwell, he worked for two other law firms and a bank in St. Louis.
