Overview

Ayissa helps clients build thriving workplaces.

Ayissa assists clients with labor and employment matters, helping them stay in line with local, state and federal regulations. Her practice focuses primarily on preventative counsel; however, she also represents clients in litigation at the federal and state levels and through mediation.

Ayissa chose to pursue a career in law out of her lifelong love of learning: she was a student who always loved school and studying. Law, she knew, would give her perpetual opportunities to continue learning. Labor and employment was an ideal practice area for the same reason—with frequent changes in employment law, Ayissa has regular opportunities for further study, and she enjoys keeping up to date so that clients are in compliance with the latest regulations.

However, what Ayissa loves most about labor and employment is that it’s an inherently people-oriented field. Ayissa knows that employees are companies’ most valuable assets, and she values helping clients build cultures and workplaces where both employees and employers will thrive.

As a law student, Ayissa spent a season as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, where she had the opportunity to assist with employment discrimination cases. She also interned with the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Colorado Springs, an experience that gave her a thorough knowledge of court procedure and helped her develop excellent legal research and writing skills.

Ayissa is a dedicated advocate who wants clients to feel that they’ve been heard and understood, and that she’s willing to do whatever work necessary to help their workplaces succeed.
