Andy is a corporate and technology lawyer with experience in complex commercial transactions, regulatory compliance and corporate governance. He is a member of the firm’s Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation team.
Andy counsels companies in the acquisition and strategic use of new technology. For example, he advises clients in domestic and offshore IT outsourcing transactions, technology procurement, licensing, SaaS and cloud offerings, joint ventures, joint developments, strategic alliances and telecommunications (wireline, wireless, Internet, fiber optic, infrastructure, DAS). He works with clients to implement IT regulatory compliance plans, including in areas of data privacy, data security, breach response and remediation, and cyber risk management. Clients remark that Andy “speaks CIO” and helps to promote IT strategic initiatives by enhancing collaboration between legal and technology departments.
Andy, who previously was a consultant with Accenture, also counsels technology vendors including software developers, SaaS providers, e-commerce and Internet companies, IT consultants, infrastructure and data center owners, and telecommunications carriers. He serves as outside counsel advising on negotiating commercial agreements, establishing distribution networks and sales channels, managing supply chains, protecting intellectual property, implementing growth strategies and mitigating unwanted risk.

While obtaining a master’s degree in technology from Purdue University, Andy studied the technology risk management practices at Fortune 200 companies. Before joining Husch Blackwell, Andy was a shareholder at Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C., where he helped found the firm’s Technology Law Team and served on the Board of Directors.
