Alexis represents borrowers and lenders in financial transactions, as well as traditional real estate clients in complex real estate transactions.
With a lifelong interest in finance, Alexis first pursued a career as an accountant. After earning her master’s of accountancy and working at a Big Four accounting firm, she decided her true passion lay on the legal side of the finance world. Alexis enrolled in law school with the aim of combining her skills to build a career in transactional law.
At her first law firm, Alexis immediately dove into the world of commercial real estate, representing major institutional lenders in complex real estate financing transactions for a variety of commercial real estate asset types, including office and industrial buildings, multi-family properties, hotels and mixed-use projects. Her practice since has focused on both borrowers and lenders and includes assistance with diligence, drafting, negotiation and closing of loans secured by commercial real estate assets. Alexis also has extensive experience with acquisition and disposition of commercial real property, representing both buyers and sellers. She also has experience on the development side, preparing and negotiating joint venture agreements, contribution agreements and development agreements for the purpose of developing commercial real estate projects.
The broad scope of Alexis’s practice gives her an in-depth understanding of all angles of a real estate transaction and its financing. She’s especially known among clients for the accounting background and education that give her a solid grasp of financial matters. Alexis speaks clients’ language and knows finance inside and out—knowledge she draws on to resolve any challenges obstructing a deal.
