Philip’s practice includes trial and appellate litigation and counseling clients in all aspects of intellectual property law. A registered patent attorney with a technical background in computer-related technologies and physics, his practical experience in patent litigation covers many technologies, including data compression, pharmaceuticals, electric motors and other mechanical, chemical and electrical arts. Philip’s experience includes significant work with Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) applicants in overcoming patent challenges, including related considerations in FDA approvals.

Philip’s litigation experience also includes all phases of patent, copyright, trademark and trade secret cases. He has also prepared and prosecuted patent applications in diverse technologies including markdown optimization, data mining, call centers, voice recognition and other areas.

His experience also includes a broad range of other litigation and counseling including general commercial litigation and government contracts, an area in which Philip gained particular experience while clerking at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He has also briefed and/or argued more than two dozen appeals in state and federal courts.
