Julie Miceli and Lisa Parker will present, "The Affirmative Action Decision: Impact on Higher Education & Accreditation Considerations," at the Council for Higher Education Accreditation Annual Conference on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
In this session, Julie and Lisa discuss the Supreme Court’s landmark decision against affirmative action that deemed the admissions programs at Harvard and UNC-Chapel Hill to be unconstitutional. They will analyze the ruling's immediate and long-term implications for colleges and universities, and accrediting agencies. The session also will address the overall diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) landscape in higher education.
