Concentrating her practice in product liability and general business litigation, Michele has extensive experience representing automotive manufacturers and suppliers, including some of the world’s largest companies. She is national product liability counsel for one of the world’s largest airbag electronic component suppliers.
Michele represents automotive industry clients in product liability matters involving airbag systems and other components of automobiles, industrial machinery, consumer products, electrical distribution equipment and motor control equipment. She also works closely with OEMs on technical issues as well as in negotiating indemnity issues.
In her business litigation practice, Michele has negotiated various complex contracts on behalf of her clients. She has tried several cases in state and federal courts and represented a client in international arbitration before the ICC Court of Arbitration. Michele also has argued appeals in state courts.
Michele’s international litigation experience involves application of various treaties and jurisdictional challenges and defending foreign-based manufacturers against product liability allegations in the United States. She frequently travels to Germany and has traveled to Hong Kong to participate in an international arbitration and South Korea to negotiate various contracts.
Michele is a member of the firm’s Partner Board.
