Mark has an active toxic tort trial practice in state and federal courts from coast to coast. He represents parties in varied areas of litigation, including medical services and product liability.
In the healthcare industry, Mark’s experience is concentrated on the delivery of services by professionals, hospitals, laboratories and other medical service providers. He has managed litigation alleging negligence in medical testing and also has substantial experience with pharmaceutical products.
Mark defends clients in cases alleging chemical exposure and release of substances such as asbestos, acids and rocket fuel (hydrazine). He defends cases relating to a wide range of vehicular products pertaining to over-the-road and off-highway vehicles. He also has extensive experience with industrial equipment and components, including gaskets, compressors, turbines, presses, and hydraulic and electrical equipment. His work has involved successful defense and cost-effective and favorable resolution for exposure lawsuits for various clients, with many of these cases defended in difficult jurisdictions for defendant corporations.
As a national trial counsel, Mark directs the day-to-day management of clients’ toxic tort litigation across the country. He works with defense experts, develops and implements defense strategies and oversees discovery efforts.
Mark has tried various cases to successful conclusion in the areas of product liability, malicious prosecution, contract disputes and employment discrimination. Among his successes in asbestos litigation is a ruling from the Tennessee courts that a valve manufacturer should not be liable for external insulation under Tennessee law.
