Luther joined the firm as a Governmental Affairs Consultant in 2004 after political service and consulting work in Washington, D.C. and Kansas City, Mo.
A combat veteran of Vietnam, he later worked as a legislative assistant in the U.S. Senate from 1978 to 1983. In Kansas City, he served as Chief of Staff for the Mayor from 1991 to 1993 and then as a corporate and political consultant from 1994 to 2000. After law school, Luther served as political director of the Greater Kansas City American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations from 2000 to 2002 and as government relations advisor for the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce from 2002 to 2004.
