Kyle’s experience in government at the state and national levels shapes his role at Husch Blackwell’s Washington, D.C., office, where his practice includes governmental affairs and ethics, government contracts and election law. Prior to joining the firm as a Staff Attorney in 2004, Kyle was legal counsel to the Financial Services Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he worked on major banking, insurance, housing and trade bills that were enacted into law, and assisted with parliamentary issues, such as working with the House leadership staff. In addition, he served as a legislative assistant to U.S. Rep. Doug Bereuter, R-Nebraska, and worked on various matters for Nebraska including banking, housing economic development, taxation, and labor and trade. He was legislative aide to Nebraska Sen. David Maurstad from 1997 to 1998 and held staff positions with the Nebraska State Legislature and, from 1995 to 1997, with the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office.
