A former patent attorney at Motorola’s Cellular Infrastructure Division, Jon focuses his practice in the protection of software and software systems, particularly in the areas of Internet information flow and website server systems. He also has expertise in e-business concepts, Wi-Fi applications and software associated with consumer electronics such as PDAs and cellular technology. Jon has a background in both electrical and mechanical engineering. He has worked on a variety of products and systems for his clients, including:
- client information retrieval and assistance systems for enterprise applications, including Internet contact routing applications and website server systems
- call processing, including data collection, processing and agent selection applications
- e-business inventions, including both direct and marketing initiatives and closed-system enterprise applications
- optical fiber communication systems using phase modulated coherent optical signals and dense wavelength division multiplexing
- electro-optic interfacing and switching within Internet, Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and Community Antenna Television (CATV) applications
- computed tomography in both magnetic resonant and attenuated beam systems in medical, industrial and nuclear waste environments
- radio frequency devices, including cellular voice, Global Positioning System (GPS) and Radio Frequency Identifier (RFID) technologies
