Jennifer G. Ziegenhorn

Partner

Jennifer primarily represents commercial lenders and lessors in creditors’ rights issues throughout the country. She is Managing Partner of the Memphis office and a member of the Partner Board, the Governance and Nominating Committee and the Diversity Committee. In addition to her extensive commercial litigation experience, Jennifer serves as trial counsel in construction litigation, employment law matters and commercial fraud claims.

In more than 1,000 cases for a Fortune 100 commercial lender, Jennifer has coordinated and managed a team of attorneys across Husch Blackwell’s offices and local counsel. This outside national counsel position has encompassed inventory collateral recovery efforts for a variety of industries and pursuit of deficiency claims in federal and state courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums.

In her commercial litigation practice, Jennifer defends against claims that are based on questions of lien priority and lender liability. She advises on general litigation, loan documentation, employee and independent-contractor issues and corporate formation. She also has coordinated and provided training to in-house counsel and corporate leaders on emerging legal issues.

Jennifer assisted in the development of the firm’s Case Management System, where clients have extranet access to shared private files and reports and attorneys can achieve efficiency and cost-savings for clients in the management of their cases.

Before her law practice, Jennifer was an accountant with a major public firm, with a focus on financial institution audits and loan valuations.
