Singleton B. McAllister Recognized By Two National Publications for Board Service

Singleton B. McAllister received honors from Savoy Magazine and Directors & Boards for her notable service to boards of directors.

Singleton B. McAllister, of counsel in the firm’s Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation group, was honored for her notable service to boards of directors by Savoy Magazine’s  Power 300: 2016 Most Influential Black Corporate Directors in the Summer issue. Directors & Boards magazine has also named McAllister to its list of 2016 Directors of Boards to Watch.

McAllister, who works with a wide range of companies, associations and organizations in the firm’s Government Contracts, International, and Public Policy, Regulatory and Government Affairs practices, is recognized by both publications for her service on the Board of Directors of United Rentals, the largest equipment rental company in the world. A member of this board since 2004, she has served as chair of its compensation and personnel committee. She was also recognized by both Savoy and Directors & Boards for her service to public utility holding company Alliant Energy, a board on which she has served since 2001.

McAlister, based in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, is also on the board of Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services Inc. and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Compensation Advisory Council. She has served on a number of civic and charitable boards, including Port Discovery Children’s Museum, the University of Maryland Visitors Boards, and as Secretary of the Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Elections. She also is a past chair of the National Women's Business Center.
