Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that the firm will serve as event sponsor of the 18th Annual Gas & Power Institute presented by the University of Texas School of Law and the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
This year’s event will take place September 26-27 at the Whitehall Hotel in Houston, Texas, and will feature a Thursday luncheon keynote presentation by Richard Glick, a Commissioner on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
The Gas & Power Institute presents a full program that covers timely topics relevant to the gas and power industry in light of the changing landscape of rules, regulation, legislation, and environmental requirements. The programming will also feature Husch Blackwell attorney Jessica Morgan, who will co-present this year’s Texas Legislative and Regulatory Update exploring recent judicial and administrative decisions affecting the Texas gas and electric industries. The presentation is scheduled for September 26 at 9:15 a.m.
“There is a lot of material to cover during this year’s Institute,” said Chris Reeder, a partner in Husch Blackwell’s Energy & Natural Resources industry group and the chair of the Gas & Power Institute’s Planning Committee. “Once again, our programming aims to be comprehensive—covering areas as divergent as transactions and cybersecurity—but we also want to provide ample time to each topic for the in-depth, insightful sharing of information. C-suite professionals throughout the Texas energy industry will find the content useful, both in terms of framing today’s issues, but also getting out in front of what we believe the future holds.”
