News Releases

A team of seven Husch Blackwell attorneys, led by Aviation team leader David Agee, represented American Airlines in a campaign to select engines to power its new fleet of 100 firm ordered Airbus A320 family aircraft, which will commence delivery in 2017. The campaign involved a competition between and concurrent negotiations with CFM International (a joint venture of GE Aviation, a division of General Electric, and Snecma, a division of Safran of France) and with Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corporation. American Airlines ultimately selected the LEAP-1A engines manufactured by CFM International, which have been reported to have a value of approximately $2.6 billion at list prices.

More information can be found in CFM’s news release.
