Eric C. Carlson, a litigation attorney whose practice focuses on the defense of toxic tort claims, has joined the St. Louis office of Husch Blackwell as an associate. He becomes the newest member of the firm’s team dedicated to the manufacturing industry.

Carlson spent the past three years at a litigation-focused law firm in Chicago (2010-2013) defending mass tort litigation matters related to personal injuries involving products, premise and contractor liability claims in Illinois and throughout the nation. During that time, he served as a member of the national coordinating counsel team representing a multibillion-dollar company in the defense of nationwide asbestos claims. He also was a member of the client team representing a Fortune 500 fertilizer manufacturer in its defense of premise and employer claims.

Carlson earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law (2010) and was an editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. He earned his B.B.A. in management and organizations from The University of Iowa (2006).

Clients rely on Husch Blackwell’s Manufacturing team of more than 100 attorneys to handle industry-specific challenges head-on. From sourcing and transporting raw materials to distributing manufactured products globally, the firm is immersed in all aspects of the manufacturing sector.
