Husch Blackwell Boasts Three 2014 BTI Client Service All Stars

Husch Blackwell Partners William E. CorumJohn D. Moore and Mary H. Stuart have been recognized as 2014 “BTI Client Service All-Stars.” They are among 330 attorneys from 187 law firms nationwide who’ve earned unprompted corporate counsel praise for delivering superior client service. Husch Blackwell is one of only 33 law firms with three or more all-stars in its ranks.

This is Corum’s fourth time receiving the honor, first in 2009 and again in 2012 and 2013. He is one of 15 attorneys returning to the BTI Client Service All-Stars list for three or more consecutive years. Named an MVP for his accomplishment, the report states, “Mr. Corum’s ability to translate complex legal advice into terms and recommendations the client can understand makes him a stand-out attorney.”

Working from the firm’s Kansas City, Mo., office, Corum is often engaged as lead trial counsel and litigation strategist representing national and global companies, including those within the technology, manufacturing and transportation industries. For more than a decade, he has been the national litigation counsel for one of the largest providers of targeted advertising, media and marketing services. He also led numerous litigation matters for a multibillion-dollar vitamin and supplements manufacturer, a global staffing company with more than 300,000 employees and the world’s largest retail mall owner.

Moore’s background in finance and accounting combined with his corporate and franchise law experience provides clients with valuable perspective in addressing their practical business and legal needs. Based in Kansas City, Mo., he helps a variety of companies grow and expand their businesses including providing advice to franchise and distribution systems on all types of issues, and structuring, negotiating various forms of transactions. As a member of the firm’s Food & Agribusiness unit, he works with several different restaurant concepts and other businesses in the food services industry.

Stuart handles all aspects of commercial litigation and labor and employment and employee-benefits litigation. She has obtained defense judgments for employers in multiple jury and bench trials and arbitrations, represented employers in dozens of labor arbitrations, advised corporate directors in ERISA class action lawsuits, and drafted and counseled on executive employment agreements and noncompete agreements. She has a strong focus in the energy industry. She is also the Denver Office Managing Partner and serves on the firm’s Executive Board.
