Carrie Claiborne Joins Business Litigation Team

Husch Blackwell welcomes Carrie Claiborne to the firm’s Denver office as an Associate in the Business Litigation group.  

Claiborne previously clerked in the Denver District Court for the Hon. William W. Hood III, where she handled civil and domestic matters (2010-2012). Her work included researching and drafting proposed orders, including motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss and discovery motions, as well as assisting in administrative and county court appeals, foreclosure actions and jury and court trials.

Claiborne received her J.D., from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law (2010), where she graduated Order of St. Ives and was Articles Editor of Denver University Law Review. Claiborne also interned in the Civil Litigation and Employment Division of the Colorado Attorney General’s office and served as a Student Attorney in the University of Denver Student Law Office’s Civil Litigation Clinic. Immediately prior to law school, Claiborne was a Human Resources Representative for Boise State University (2004-2007). She held positions in marketing and volunteer coordination in St. Louis, Mo., upon receiving her B.A., magna cum laude, from Denison University in Granville, Ohio (1999).
