Husch Blackwell Adds Environmental Associate Megan Galey in St. Louis

Megan R. Galey has joined Husch Blackwell’s St. Louis office as an Associate. Galey will practice Environmental & Natural Resources law, bringing a working knowledge on matters such as Clean Water Act enforcement issues and sustainable agriculture standards.

Prior to joining Husch Blackwell, Galey was a Legal Research Associate for the University of Illinois’ College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (2011-2012), where she served as a consultant for the agricultural community regarding food and environmental regulations. While there, she assisted the nonprofit environmental organization Leonardo Academy with the development of sustainable agriculture standards for the American National Standards Institute.

Galey received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law (2011), where she was Administrative Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review and a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society. During law school, Galey also held internship positions where she worked on environmental issues, with the Illinois House of Representatives’ Office of the Speaker and Prairie Rivers Network, a not-for-profit conservation group in Illinois. Prior to law school, Galey worked as an Office Operations Assistant and AmeriCorps VISTA member for the American Red Cross in Champaign, Ill. (2006-2008). Galey received her B.A., with distinction, in Biological Anthropology from the University of Kansas (2006), where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
