Michelle Roman Joins Kansas City Office

Husch Blackwell welcomes Michelle R. Roman to the firm’s Kansas City, Mo., office. Roman joins the firm as a Banking & Finance Partner.

Prior to joining Husch Blackwell, Roman practiced finance and real estate law with a national full-service law firm in Kansas City (2005-2012). Roman represented lenders and borrowers across the United States in multi-million dollar transactions, specifically with secured loan originations, servicing and workouts. She also handled real estate, asset-based and conduit lending matters. Roman also previously practiced at Husch & Eppenberger (1996-2005), a legacy firm of Husch Blackwell.

Roman received her J.D. from the University of Kansas (1994). Before entering law school, Roman worked as a Credit Analyst with Fourth Financial Corporation (1989-1991). She received her B.A. from Bethel College in N. Newton, Kan. (1989).

Husch Blackwell's Banking & Finance practice focuses on the lending and regulatory activities of regional and national commercial lenders, retail banks, life insurance companies, CMBS conduit lenders, credit unions, savings associations and other financial institutions. Attorneys represent both commercial lenders and borrowers and understand the requirements and approaches of both secured and credit debt financing. The practice also focuses on the regulatory compliance of financial institutions.
