Hal Katz Named Chair-Elect of ABA Health Law Section Council

The ABA Health Law Section has more than 10,000 member nationwide.

The Council of the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association has named Husch Blackwell’s Hal Katz to serve as Chair-Elect, effective May 31, 2019.

The Health Law Section has over 10,000 members from across the Unites States. “I’m looking forward to continuing the work of the Section in providing value and leadership to our members,” Katz said.

Katz, a partner in the firm’s Healthcare practice group, focuses his legal practice on corporate, transactional and regulatory issues for healthcare industry clients, including for-profit, nonprofit and governmental entities. He has been on the front line of healthcare evolution and innovation, representing clients engaged in emerging areas like telehealth and the increasing participation of private equity in the healthcare arena.

Katz, based in the firm’s Austin office, has been active in the ABA’s Health Law Section leadership in numerous roles. He also currently serves as Chair of the State Bar of Texas Health Law Section.
