Former ARCADIS In-House Counsel Joins Husch Blackwell's Real Estate Team

Jill Nelson brings 17 years of real estate law experience to Husch Blackwell.

Jill E. Nelson has joined Husch Blackwell’s Denver office as the newest addition to the firm’s Real Estate, Development & Construction team. She joins as senior counsel with 17 years of real estate law experience.

Nelson most recently served as in-house counsel for ARCADIS U.S. Inc.’s real estate department (2012-2014). At ARCADIS, a leading global natural and built asset design and consultancy firm, Nelson advised on all matters regarding its North American portfolio containing more than 200 office, storage and warehouse leases. Nelson also previously worked in-house for the Colorado real estate development company Watermark Holdings. While managing the company’s real estate and general corporate legal matters, she handled all real estate acquisition, disposition, financing and development items. In addition, Nelson practiced real estate law for 10 years in private practice, at both mid-size and global firms, including Holme Roberts & Owen, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and Dewey LeBoeuf. In private practice, Nelson advised clients in all aspects of real estate acquisition, disposition, lending, due diligence and leasing. She is also experienced in asset and stock acquisitions and dispositions.

Nelson received her J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law (1992), where she graduated Order of St. Ives and was a member of Denver University Law Review. She received her B.B.A., with honors, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1986) in Finance and Marketing
