News Releases

Benchmark Litigation, a leading legal directory devoted solely to litigation, has selected five Husch Blackwell partners among its 2023 Benchmark 40 & Under Hot List. The honorees include Matthew Diehr, Ryann Glenn, Kamron Hasan, Michael Raupp, and Jameson Watts.

Based in St. Louis, Diehr represents clients in sophisticated, high-stakes commercial matters, in criminal cases against the federal government, and in multi-state investigations and regulatory enforcement actions brought by State Attorneys General. As co-founder and leader of the firm’s State Attorneys General group, Matt concentrates much of his practice on multimillion-dollar, bet-the-company commercial litigation, defending clients and their businesses in state and federal courts across the country.

Glenn, who is based in the firm’s Omaha office, is a litigator focused on representing companies and individuals who operate their business within the food and agribusiness industries. She regularly helps clients resolve matters through alternative dispute resolution processes. Glenn has extensive experience managing complex litigation, including highly nuanced trade secret litigation, breach of contract matters, or other commercial disputes that arise for food systems clients, as well as product defect and product recall claims.

Hasan, who is also based in Omaha, handles clients’ commercial and employment litigation issues so they can remain focused on their business goals. He has appeared in state and federal court at all procedural stages in a variety of matters, including cases involving claims of breach of contract, trade secrets, business torts, federal and state discrimination and retaliation claims, and responses to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission (NEOC) complaints, among others.

Based in Kansas City, Raupp represents clients in appellate proceedings, complex litigation, and high-stakes regulatory disputes. He regularly advises organizations on constitutional, statutory, and procedural issues. Raupp has specific experience navigating litigation and challenging regulatory compliance matters for colleges and universities, including Titles IV, VI, and IX of the Higher Education Act, First Amendment free-speech protections for students and faculty, and student discipline. He has worked with both public and private institutions to achieve successful resolutions.

Watts is based in the firm’s Austin office, where he focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy law. He counsels clients in commercial disputes and represents owners, developers, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in construction defect and related matters. He handles all aspects of litigation from pre-suit demand through final appeal. Watts is Board Certified in Consumer and Commercial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. This is his third year on the 40 & Under Hot List.
