The Chattanooga Bar Foundation selected Husch Blackwell Sanders Partner Michael K. Alston as a Fellow. His selection was announced at the May 14 Chattanooga Bar Association Law Day Luncheon. This membership is limited to the “best of the best,” said Jerry Summers, one of the nine original Fellows.

Alston is a recent past president of the Chattanooga Bar Association, as well as a member of the Federal, Tennessee, and Alabama Bar Associations. As a member of the firm’s Litigation Division, he represents clients in the areas of contract and tort commercial litigation, premises liability, professional negligence, employment, insurance, and products liability law.

To be honored as a Fellow, a lawyer must be a member of the Chattanooga Bar Association, must be at least 35 years of age and must be licensed and practicing law for at least 10 years. Only lawyers who are judged to have outstanding records of service to the bar and to the community are so honored.

Since 1989 the Chattanooga Bar Foundation has served as the charitable and educational arm of the Chattanooga Bar Association through which the Bar supports worthwhile charities and participates in community service, outreach programs, and educational projects.
