Husch Blackwell Sanders is pleased to announce that Joseph E. Cwik was named a 2010 Illinois Super Lawyer and Michele S. Katz was named a 2010 Illinois Rising Star, both in the area of Intellectual Property Litigation. Cwik and Katz are both Partners in the firm's Intellectual Property Department.
Only up to five percent of attorneys per jurisdiction are named Super Lawyers. Selecting the attorneys involves an in-depth, measurable process. Peer nominations by seasoned attorneys followed by detailed evaluations are matched against third-party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on a state-by-state basis annually. Rising Stars are also peer nominated and must be under 40 and been practicing law for less then 10 years. No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers per jurisdiction are named Rising Stars.
