Carrie Hermeling Recognized for Volunteer Work
Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) presented Husch Blackwell Partner Carrie L. Hermeling with the Robert Walston Chubb Award Tuesday evening, August 30, at their 2011 For the Common Good Annual Awards Reception.
The Chubb Award is the highest award granted by LSEM, and it recognizes Hermeling for her commitment to providing equal access to justice. A long-standing volunteer who has been involved in various LSEM programs and initiatives, Hermeling received the LSEM Volunteer Lawyer Award in 2001. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the LSEM 2011 Annual Bar Campaign. In addition, Husch Blackwell corporately supports LSEM and received its Gerald R. Ortbals Outstanding Law Firm Award in 2010 and the Equal Justice Award in 2009.
Hermeling concentrates her legal practice in the area of business litigation with an emphasis in commercial lending and real estate disputes. Hermeling has a multistate litigation and commercial arbitration practice. She also represents lenders in loan workout matters. In her real estate practice, she regularly consults with clients on issues relating to commercial leases, title insurance disputes, zoning and development issues, adverse possession, quiet title actions and boundary disputes.
