Husch Blackwell was awarded The Gerald R. Ortbals Outstanding Law Firm Award by Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) Thursday evening, August 26, at their 2010 For the Common Good Annual Awards Reception.
LSEM is a non-profit organization that provides legal assistance to low-income individuals in 21 counties of eastern Missouri. In addition, LSEM produces educational materials on a variety of legal issues and holds educational presentations at their outreach centers.
The Gerald R. Ortbals Outstanding Law Firm Award is an annual award given to a local law firm that has made significant contributions to the community through providing pro bono work. Husch Blackwell was honored for its firmwide commitment to pro bono work and hands-on support of LSEM.
