The Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City recently named Husch Blackwell a 2011 Firm of the Year. A 2011 Platinum-level sponsor of AWL, Husch Blackwell was unanimously chosen for its continued support of the organization. Several attorneys of the firm are members of the organization, and Husch Blackwell Partner Amber Steinbeck serves on AWL's Board of Directors as the Community Support Vice Chair. AWL presented the award at its annual holiday party December 13.
Formed in 1976, AWL works to advance the role of women in the legal profession and currently has nearly 400 Kansas City-area professional members. AWL provides networking opportunities and programs focused on professional growth for its members.
