The Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) St. Louis, Mo., chapter selected Jeanine R. Bermel to join its 2011 Board of Directors. The AAFA of St. Louis is a non-profit United Way agency that has served the community for more than 30 years. The AAFA is dedicated to "improving the quality of life for people with asthma and allergic diseases" and offers educational programs, a medical assistance plan and Project Concern, which provides uninsured and underinsured children life-saving asthma and allergy medications, equipment and support.
In addition to her work with the AAFA, Bermel serves a variety of non-profit and community organizations, including Lafayette Industries, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and Friends of Kids with Cancer. She is also a member of the 2011-2012 Leadership St. Louis class.
A Partner in the area of Business Litigation, Bermel advises clients in matters involving commercial and government disputes. Her experience includes representing and counseling Fortune 500 companies responding to demands for significant volumes of electronic data in civil litigation and government investigations.
