McClain Bryant Receives 2011 IMPACT Award for Career and Community Accomplishments
The George Washington University Black Alumni Association (GWBAA) honored Husch Blackwell's McClain E. Bryant with a 2011 IMPACT Award at its annual awards ceremony on September 17.
The IMPACT Award is the highest award granted by GWBAA and recognizes Bryant for her thriving professional career and dedication to community service and activism. Earlier this year, she served on Kansas City Mayor Sly James' Transition Team and was later appointed a Commissioner of Kansas City's Board of Parks and Recreation. Bryant is also an at-large member of the Democratic National Committee's Youth Coordinating Council and a Regional Lead for Gen44, a council intended to cultivate and empower a rising generation of leaders in the Democrat Party.
An Associate in the firm's Kansas City, Mo., office, Bryant practices in the areas of Government Compliance, Investigations & Litigation and Governmental Ethics & Election Law. Missouri Lawyers Weekly recently named her a 2011 "Up & Coming" Attorney.
