Matt Gaziano Joins D.C. Office
Husch Blackwell welcomes Matthew J. Gaziano to the Washington, D.C., office as an Associate, where he will practice Government Contracts law.
Prior to joining Husch Blackwell, Gaziano was an Associate at a construction law firm in Vienna, Va. (2010-2011), where he counseled owners, general contractors and subcontractors on both public and private construction disputes. His work experiences include drafting, reviewing and negotiating contract agreements, settlement agreements and tolling agreements. Gaziano has practiced in state and federal courts, including several matters in bankruptcy court. He has also conducted mediation for complex construction project disputes. Further, Gaziano has represented construction professionals in OSHA and stop work order violation matters. Upon graduating from law school, Gaziano clerked for a trade association which represented the financial services industry, where he researched regulatory and policy issues facing the financial sector during the recent banking crises and drafted comment letters on the federal financial institution rulemaking process.
Gaziano received his J.D., magna cum laude, from George Mason University School of Law (2009), where he was Articles Editor of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal. Additionally, Gaziano is an accomplished trombonist, having received his Master of Music (M.M.) from San Francisco Conservatory of Music (2004) and his Bachelor of Music (B.M.), with honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign (2002).
