Candace Jackson Joins Kansas City Office
Husch Blackwell welcomes Candace R. Jackson to the firm’s Kansas City, Mo., office as an Associate in the Securities & Corporate Governance group.
Jackson joins the firm after serving as a Senior Attorney with the financial services firm Primerica, Inc. (2010-2011), where she advised the Board of Directors on best practices related to corporate governance issues, including the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. In addition, she performed quarterly and annual reviews of all of the firm’s Security and Exchange Commission filings and managed the insider trading compliance program.
Jackson received her J.D. from Emory University School of Law (2009), where she received a Certificate in Transactional Law from the Center for Transactional Law & Practice and was a caseworker with Student Legal Services. She received her B.A. from the University of Michigan (2006).

Advising large and small public companies, the team provides advice on transactions in securities by insiders and their affiliates and on the securities law aspects of equity compensation plans for employees, officers and directors of both publicly held and privately held businesses. They also have significant experience helping private companies raise capital through Regulation D private placements. The group regularly addresses the multifaceted legal issues involved in securities disclosure and regulatory matters, corporate governance and corporate finance transactions.
