Tina Boschert, Former Hospital Risk Management Director and Compliance Officer, Joins Healthcare Group
Tina M. Boschert joins Husch Blackwell’s Healthcare team as an Associate in the firm’s Kansas City office.
Boschert most recently practiced healthcare law with a law firm in Kansas City (2010-2011), where she assisted in federal and state regulatory and compliance matters, including HIPAA, Stark and Anti-Kickback issues. She also helped clients with government surveys of healthcare facilities, with evaluations and investigations into overpayment matters, and assisted in advising clients in large business transactions involving the purchase of healthcare facilities.
Before entering private practice, Boschert served as Director of Risk Management, Ethics & Compliance for Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kan. (2005-2010). Her responsibilities included ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, conducting internal risk investigations, overseeing facility legal matters, and facilitating employee compliance training.
Boschert received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law (2005), where she was administrative editor for UMKC Law Review and graduated Order of the Barristers. Before entering law school, Boschert worked as a nurse in the Liberty Hospital Emergency Department in Liberty, Mo. (2000-2002). She received her B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Missouri – Columbia (1999).
