Hillary focuses her practice on employment litigation and counseling. She defends businesses in cases alleging discrimination, harassment and retaliation, and has obtained favorable judgments for employers in numerous cases brought under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. Hillary also represents employers in Fair Labor Standards Act cases, has obtained injunctive relief in numerous cases involving non-competition agreements and other restrictive covenants, and represents management in labor arbitrations.
On the counseling side, Hillary provides advice to businesses on a daily basis about personnel decisions, wage and hour matters, internal complaints, investigations and accommodation issues. She also conducts human resource audits and policy reviews, and provides training to management and non-management employees on a variety of employment issues, including prohibited harassment and effective supervision.
