Postmaster General Patrick Donahue has suggested ending Saturday mail delivery. Even then, Hendel remains confident in the Postal Service’s survival. “Whether it is six days a week, five days or even three, the post office does what FedEx or UPS can’t do and will never be able to do,” Hendel said.
