Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Douglas F. McMeyer has joined the firm’s Chicago office as an Associate in the area of Intellectual Property Litigation. He also brings experience in serving client needs in the areas of general and appellate commercial litigation, and toxic torts litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, McMeyer clerked for The Hon. Rita B. Garman of the Illinois Supreme Court (2007-2009) and was an Associate at Jenner & Block LLP (2009-2011).
McMeyer earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law (2007), where he earned a spot on the school’s National Moot Court Team, participated in numerous clinical programs, and graduated Order of the Coif. Prior to law school, McMeyer worked as a legal advocate and community educator for a non-profit organization that assists victims of domestic violence. He earned his B.A., cum laude, from Wabash College (2000).
