David focuses on complex commercial litigation. A trial lawyer since 1978, he has handled litigation in federal and state courts around the country involving a range of complex commercial disputes, including banking, contracts, real estate, energy and natural resources, healthcare litigation, business torts and construction. He has represented parties in appeals, arbitrations and mediations and has substantial experience as an arbitrator in commercial disputes.
David joined the firm as a Partner in 2008 from Holme Roberts & Owen, where he practiced for nearly 30 years. He has taught courses at the University of Colorado School of Law, including legal writing and appellate advocacy.
