David practices in the area of intellectual property with extensive experience dealing in patents, licensing and intellectual property litigation. He advises on intellectual property matters in mechanical, electromechanical, computer and medical device technologies.
Prior to joining the firm, David was an Associate for two law firms in Denver, where he was responsible for the preparation and prosecution of numerous patent and trademark applications as well as successful prosecution of re-examination proceedings. He also has extensive experience managing and obtaining foreign intellectual property. In addition, David has traveled extensively in Japan while presenting numerous seminars on U.S. patent law.
David entered private practice in Washington, D.C., where he prepared and prosecuted U.S. patent applications and assisted in licensing negotiations.
Previously, he served as a Patent Examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where he examined patent applications for medical diagnostic equipment.
Before becoming a lawyer, David worked in the automation industry as an engineer designing pneumatic actuators.
