Situation

Designated by the American Planning Association as one of the “10 Great Streets in America,” the Delmar Loop in St. Louis and University City had served as an entertainment and dining destination for many years. When regional leaders wanted to bring back the trolleys that serviced the area until 1966, it called upon the team at Husch Blackwell to help make the dream a reality.

Result

Husch Blackwell has played a pivotal role in the planning and development of the 2.2-mile Loop Trolley project. Our team established and continues to represent the Loop Trolley Transportation Development District, a political subdivision organized under the Missouri Transportation Development District Act, in the financing, construction and fiber operation of the approximately $43 million project. When completed, the trolley will provide a pivotal link to light rail, mixed-use and residential neighborhoods, along with dining and entertainment districts.
