A developer wanted to acquire a site in an up-and-coming urban neighborhood for a mixed-use project with multifamily housing and a specialty grocery store. As a condition of the sale of the property, the developer required the landowner to secure a commitment from the grocery to lease space. Husch Blackwell represented the landowner in the agreement with the grocery and sale of the site. After the sale, we assisted the developer with amendments to the grocery store lease.
The landowner and developer reached favorable terms that ultimately provided tenants and neighbors walkable and convenient access to an attractive amenity.
