Situation

Pharmaceutical client publicly announced plans to realize $1 billion in synergies from a merger with another large, publicly traded organization.

Result

Provided counsel, coordination and project planning for the integration team that developed and administered reductions-in-force. We guided our client through several hundred reductions-in-force, with both union and nonunion employees. In addition, we developed a number of policies and procedures for the merged organization to realize efficiencies and best practices.
